SA Severe Weather Warning: Damaging Winds

For people in Lower South East and parts of Upper South East districts.

Issued at 9:30 am Monday, 10 May 2021.

Weather Situation: A developing low pressure system over the south of the Lower South East district on Monday morning will move eastwards to be over western Victoria by late afternoon.

Damaging southerly winds, locally averaging 60-70 km/h with peak gusts of 90-100 km/h are possible over the warning area during Monday afternoon associated with the low pressure system.

Winds are expected to ease late this afternoon as the low moves eastwards.

Locations which may be affected include Mount Gambier, Naracoorte, Meningie, Millicent and Lucindale.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Move vehicles under cover or away from trees;
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while conditions are severe.
