Flood Watch Number: 1

Areas of isolated minor flooding may develop across the Upper Yarra, Bunyip, Latrobe and South Gippsland catchments from Monday.

A cold front will pass across Victoria during Sunday, bringing showers, isolated thunderstorms and local hail. A cold, unstable westerly airflow is expected on Monday and Tuesday.

Catchments in the flood watch area are wet following recent rainfall.

Widespread totals of 10-15mm are forecast for the remainder of Sunday with up to 30mm possible in elevated areas. The snowline will be around 600m Sunday night.

With forecast rainfall, river rises are expected late Sunday and minor flooding may develop across the flood watch area from Monday.

Catchments likely to be affected include:
Latrobe River

Traralgon Creek

South Gippsland Rivers

Bunyip River and Dandenong Creek

Yarra River to Coldstream

The Bureau of Meteorology is continuing to monitor the situation and will issue catchment specific warnings as required.
