SA Severe Weather Warning: Damaging Winds

For people in Lower Eyre Peninsula, Kangaroo Island and parts of Mount Lofty Ranges, Eastern Eyre Peninsula and Yorke Peninsula districts.

Weather Situation: A front will move over the State on Friday bringing strong to locally damaging winds and raised dust.

Damaging north to northwesterly winds averaging 55-65 km/h with gusts of 90-100 km/h are forecast to develop over parts of the warning area during Friday morning ahead of and with the front.

Winds will shift gusty west to southwesterly with the front reaching southern Eyre Peninsula early afternoon and the Mount Lofty Ranges late afternoon. Winds will moderate during the evening.

Locations which may be affected include Port Lincoln, Cummins, Tumby Bay, Cleve, Maitland, Edithburgh, Victor Harbor, Strathalbyn and Kingscote.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Move vehicles under cover or away from trees;
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while conditions are severe.
